Are there any harmful ingredients in Mr. Orange?
No, Mr. Orange contains no harmful ingredients or chemicals, such as petroleum derivatives or petroleum solvents. Mr. Orange is made from whole Valencia oranges, plant based cleansing agents (again, made without petroleum processing) and contains the power of BGSE™ (Bio-Enhanced Grapefruit Seed Extract™). This formula is 100% plant-based! However, Mr. Orange should never be ingested, as it contains potent citrus oils. For this same reason, we recommend you wear gloves.
Can Mr. Orange be used to wash fruits and vegetables?
Yes. Mr. Orange can be used to wash and remove wax from fruits and vegetables. Use a very small amount (40:1 dilution ratio) and rinse thoroughly.
How do I use Mr. Orange to remove tough stains?
Mix 1 oz of Mr. Orange with 10 oz of water to remove fingerprints, spills, grease-covered areas, old dirt, heavily soiled carpet and other tough stains. Leave on a few seconds, then scrub, if necessary. Rinse and wipe clean. Use full-strength, when needed, on heavy grease, tar, and the like, then wipe clean. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Wear gloves.
Can I use Mr. Orange to wash windows?
Yes, and you will need only a very little! Add one or two drops to approximately 36 ounces of water. Spray on, then wipe off to a clear, sparkly clean.
How long can I keep a diluted mixture of Mr. Orange?
Diluted spray bottle contents will remain stable and active for an indefinite period of time when they are stored in a cool, dark place (to protect the orange essential oil). We recommend a cupboard out of reach of children.
Why is there a caution to test color stability on the label of Mr. Orange?
Some fabrics are not color stable. Also, on a painted surface, including a car that has been in the hot sun, the pigment will have expanded and may be more likely to be affected by a cleanser. Mr. Orange is milder and gentler than other cleaners and, even though it is unlikely to alter the color of paint, dyed surfaces, leathers, fabrics, and the like, it is a wise and recommended precaution.
What ways can Mr. Orange be used to clean my home?
Mr. Orange can be used to clean your shower and bathroom, kitchen and appliances, patio, deck, car, boat, driveway, and any other surface in and around your home. For use inside the oven, keep room ventilated. Mr. Orange can also be used to take off grease and tough stains, make your floors shine, remove crayon and ink marks, and remove stains on carpets and upholstery. How do I use Mr. Orange for all-purpose cleaning, such as cleaning dirty cabinets?
Mix 1 oz of Mr. Orange with 20 oz of water for showers, grout, dirty cabinets, and hard surfaces. Leave on a few seconds, then scrub, if necessary. Wipe clean. This light dilution should not require rinsing.
How do I use Mr. Orange to wash floors, walls, interiors and exteriors of cars?
Place one capful of Mr. Orange into a bucket of water. Even at this dilution, it will quickly and easily loosen the magnetic bond of dried dirt. No rinsing is needed. Wear gloves.
Can I use Mr. Orange to wash dishes in my sink?
Yes, but remember it contains the natural, grease-dissolving agents from Valencia Oranges. Since this may also dry hands, we recommend you put Mr. Orange concentrate into a wand with a sponge on the end, so that your hands have minimal contact with the solution. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Mr. Orange is not recommended for use in the dishwasher.
